Site Activity

Sections of a site that require user input can be considered site activities. These activities are often accessed by Web icons that represent the activity in some manner.

Most online Web-based mail systems such as Yahoo!'s mail have functions that require user input such as an address book. The signifier rolodex Address book, signifies that data (addresses) may be stored in the system. This particular icon may not be understood by Web site visitors that are unfamiliar with what a rolodex is.

When a user clicks on the small square pencil icon, then they are presented with an edit window that allows an article to be edited.
